Adult Training

Life to Eagle training session will be available. This is for Life Scouts (and parents) - It will be on the list of available merit badges and your Life Scout (or almost Life Scout) will sign up for this instead of a normal merit badge. It will take 2 hours (one hour at each of the first two sessions of the clinic). Adults will not be able to sign up but are welcome to sit in. Information covered will include, but not limited to, requirements for Eagle Scout, timeline, important publications, service project procedures, board of review and others.

Eagle Scout Service Project Coach This is for adults only. February 9th 10 am - Noon Room 15 Instructor Carl Olson. The BSA Guide to Advancement 2017 discusses the duties and responsibilities of an Eagle Scout Service Project Coach.

BSA Leave No Trace 101 January 12th 9 am Room 15 Instructor Jo Riffner. This course is a general introduction to Leave No Trace ethics and skills. The course is designed to help youth and adults at all program levels understand the general principles of Leave No Trace and how to apply them in the general BSA outdoor program. It is also designed to give adult volunteers the confidence to assess youth understanding and skills for purposes of signing off on Boy Scout/Varsity Scout Second Class and First Class rank requirements and Venturing Outdoor Bronze and Ranger Award requirements.

Scouting 101 January 26th 10 am Room 15 Instructor Erinn Olson. Introduction to scouting aims and means of scouting.

Scoutmaster / Assistant Scoutmaster Position-Specific February 9th 9 am - Noon in the Chapel Instructor Erinn Olson. The course will provide Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmaster with the basic information and tools they need to lead successful Boy Scout troops.
